PointClickCare’s Top 5 Highlights of 2018

This was an amazing year for PointClickCare and our customers. From our fantastic SUMMIT event, launching our Marketplace Program, and creating lasting partnerships with some truly innovative organizations, this year was one to remember and we couldn’t have done it without our incredible customers. In case you missed it, here are some highlights from this year:

1. Bridging the Gap for LTPAC
Every day for the next 15 years, 10,000 people will turn 65. That number alone presents a sizeable issue to the senior care industry. The question of staffing, number of facilities and care providers will all need to be answered in order to continue to provide the level of care our seniors deserve. With this comes the realization that the healthcare industry now requires data exchange and transparency in order to truly thrive.

PointClickCare’s new product is a game changer. Our goal is to optimize care transitions in order to save care givers time and allow them to have the insight needed to provide the best and most seamless care possible for the patient. This data not only helps you facilitate better care transitions, it also helps you to become a preferred provider.

2. SUMMIT 2018
This year marked our eighth annual SUMMIT — and it was our biggest and best conference yet, with a record-breaking attendance of more than 2,000 customers, partners, and PointClickCare team members.

The informative sessions, valuable pre-conference learnings, diverse and innovative marketplace partners, and of course the annual gala night in downtown Nashville, all contributed to making this our best event yet.

In planning for this year, we were committed to addressing the most pressing issues on the minds of our customers through our sessions. As a result, some of the most popular breakout sessions this year were:

  • How Will the Patient-Driven Payment Model Affect You
  • Enhancing Employee Engagement Through Technology
  • Strategies for Smarter Medication Management and Receiving
  • Turning Words Into Numbers Provides Your Payment -ICD10 Coding and Medicare

We are looking forward to seeing all of our amazing customers again in Dallas for SUMMIT 2019!

3. PointClickCare Marketplace
This year, we launched the PointClickCare Developer Program, an initiative that revolutionizes the speed and ease with which approved third-party technology partners can build, integrate, and sell products to PointClickCare customers. This interface is the one-stop-shop for viewing all apps that integrate seamlessly with PointClickCare. Providers can see all the options available to them in one place — from outside apps and services to PointClickCare services (such as meal planning and activities calendars within a senior living facility). Providers can feel confident that any app or service they see in the Marketplace will automatically work within their existing PointClickCare set-up, which takes a load off their mind. Then, instead of investing valuable time and resources into trying to make their technology work correctly, they can focus on the most important part of their work — taking care of their patients and residents.

4. COMS Partnership
In October, we announced our enhanced commitment to delivering evidence-based clinical support tools to help providers prepare effectively for an evolving value-based payment environment including the Patient-Driven Payment Model (PDPM). Together, PointClickCare and COMS deliver a seamless, unified solution that will also significantly improve providers’ capability to demonstrate quality clinical processes, reduce unnecessary re-hospitalizations, and achieve better referral relationships. COMS has become a wholly-owned subsidiary of PointClickCare and will continue to operate as an independent brand to develop, promote, and offer its evidence-based standard clinical protocol tools across multiple electronic health record platforms in the post-acute care market.

5. Major Awards
Forbes 2018 Cloud 100 List — PointClickCare has been named to the Forbes 2018 Cloud 100, the definitive list of the top 100 private cloud companies in the world, published by Forbes in collaboration with Bessemer Venture Partners and Salesforce Ventures. We were also one of only five healthcare companies to make the list.

Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures — Commissioned by Waterstone Human Capital, The Canada’s Most Admired™ Corporate Culture program, now in its 14th year, recognizes best-in-class Canadian organizations for having cultures that enhance performance and help sustain a competitive advantage. In addition to this, PointClickCare’s chief executive officer, Mike Wessinger, was named one of Canada’s Most Admired CEOs for 2017.

Canada’s Best Managed Companies — For the fifth consecutive year, PointClickCare was named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies. The 2018 Best Managed program recognizes the best-in-class of Canadian-owned and managed companies, with revenues over $15 million, demonstrating strategy, capability, and commitment to achieve sustainable growth.

Best Place to Work in Canada — PointClickCare ranked #2 on Glassdoor’s list of Best Places to Work in Canada! Glassdoor is one of the world’s largest job and recruiting sites. Built on the foundation of increasing workplace transparency, they offer millions of the latest job listings, combined with a growing database of company reviews, CEO approval ratings, salary reports, interview reviews and questions, benefits reviews, office photos, and more. Unlike other job sites, all of this information is shared by those who know a company best — the employees.
