Honouring the Heart of PointClickCare – Our Customers

The year 2020 will be remembered and referenced by future generations for many reasons, one of those being the COVID-19 Pandemic and the impact it has had on the healthcare industry, and more specifically, on senior care. Throughout the year, people around the world joined together to celebrate the healthcare workers whose tireless dedication was our literal lifeline during this unprecedented time. The World Health Organization (WHO) designated 2020 as the Year of the Nurse and Midwife and it definitely became THE year to celebrate those who devote their lives to caring for others. We jumped on the bandwagon and launched a Year of the Nurse program of our own, recognizing and elevating the stories of 12 special nurses who are changing the game in senior care.

While the Year of the Nurse has come to an end, our support and celebration of nurses, and all healthcare professionals, will continue without end. In the 20 years we’ve engaged with LTPAC nurses, we’ve seen first‐hand that nursing is a calling and not a job. Nurses are there as long as someone needs them, and many of them think about their last shift long after it’s over.

PointClickCare is committed to continuing the study of trends and collaborative solutions to better assist nurses and to alleviating the stress and other negative factors affecting the profession. Now more than ever, nurses deserve our support.

With this in mind, we’ve decided to extend and also evolve our Year of the Nurse program. The year 2021 will be one of change, continued growth, and hope for the new world. As we continue our commitment to celebrating those who work tirelessly to care for others, we are transforming the series to include all of our customers.

Each month we will feature a different PointClickCare customer to honour the amazing work they do each day in caring for our senior population.
