People of PointClickCare: Jenna Sorat
Our Life at PointClickCare, People of PointClickCare
Introducing Jenna Sorat, the Training Manager in Education Services at PointClickCare! A lifelong learner, she leads a small but mighty team in meeting all our internal training needs. Let’s kick things off by learning a little about Jenna with some quick rapid fire!
Rapid Fire
- Describe yourself in 3 words: Diligent. Compassionate. Inspirational.
- What is your favorite movie genre? I have a couple! I love comedies and appreciate action-adventure (but no horror movies for me)!
- If you could afford any car, which one would you drive? As long as we are dreaming, I would love to have and drive an Aston Martin DB5 so I could feel like James Bond with all of his gadgets.
- If you were to write a book, what would it be about? If I were to author a book, I would focus on the best tips and strategies for career women managing competing priorities. This would include insights on raising children in a chaotic world, maintaining authenticity without compromising beliefs, offering my best practices in navigating the career world, and cultivating gratitude for what you have.
Getting to Know the Real Jenna
Jenna describes herself as an extrovert who loves to travel, enjoys meeting new people, and building connections. As an active mother with three children, ages ranging from college to elementary school, it’s no wonder her ideal Saturday involves getting a little extra rest and unwinding by spending quality time with her children!
As she continues to grow personally and professionally, Jenna is cognizant of how different stages of her life have evolved her perception of success. She says this allows her to continue to strive to challenge herself but also gives her the ability to better recognize and celebrate the positive qualities and achievements of others. “Today, I view success as having a career that I’m passionate about and being able to inspire and bring out the best attributes in my employees and family.”
Why Jenna Loves Working at PointClickCare
Jenna has worked in the healthcare industry for 24 years, and 2025 will mark her 7th year with PointClickCare. She describes her role as Training Manager, as supporting PointClickCare’s internal training needs.
“I’m responsible for onboarding new roles within our department and providing training that supports departmental and organizational transformation, as well as new system enhancements. I also oversee the creation of training assets such as job aids, eCourses, microlearnings, and customized roles or team pathways.”
What she enjoys most about her position is finding creative solutions to challenges and collaborating with what she describes as PointClickCare’s exceptional leaders . “I am constantly inspired by our leaders to find innovative ways to enhance our training programs and expand my knowledge in the training industry,” she stated.
As a remote employee, Jenna appreciates the flexibility PointClickCare’s hybrid work model provides and adds that it fuels her motivation to find ways to stay engaged with her team, leadership, and other colleagues.
The Strength of Having Diverse Opinions
For Jenna, one of the best parts of the culture at PointClickCare is how it “values people and their diverse perspectives”. She says she values hearing a range of inputs and believes creating space for different perspectives helps make a team stronger. “If you have ever taken a DiSC personality assessment, you know we need all types of personalities to make us the best versions of ourselves.”
She also believes in sharing her experiences in safe spaces that foster the exchange of innovative ideas and support women at various career and life stages. “For the last several years, I have been an active member of the Women’s Network and able to support advancing conversations that impact women and our male advocates.” Jenna values her networking with leaders, friends, and other allies as it has allowed her to feel fulfilled in her work while also advancing and growing as a leader.
Jenna is truly a woman of many talents, and we’re glad to learn more about them here. Thanks for sharing, Jenna!
