Making a Difference at SUMMIT: The Give Back Booth

At this year’s SUMMIT user conference, we deepened our commitment by teaming up with 504 HealthNet, Inc. — an association whose mission is to improve access to care and provide support to an integrated and coordinated network of healthcare providers in the Greater New Orleans Area.  

New Orleans relies on the hospitality industry for much of its income, yet hospitality workers continue to earn less than $28K annually with few to no benefits. By partnering to support 504 HealthNet, Inc., we’re helping change this narrative by providing the resources needed to ensure an inclusive and equitable industry and workplace.

This was PointClickCare’s first time incorporating a Give Back component into SUMMIT, which was warmly embraced by attendees and staff alike. Together, we assembled 2,000 Care Kits to express gratitude to those sustaining the city’s vibrant hospitality sector. These Care Kits, filled with items ranging from pens and notepads to sunscreen and first aid kits, were curated to meet the unique needs of these essential workers.

Beyond the items provided as part of this Give Back initiative, we were able to highlight that meaningful change is possible when we work toward ensuring every person — especially those in pivotal but often overlooked roles — has access to the resources needed to live healthy, vibrant lives.

Cultivating a Culture of Giving

Giving back is woven into the fabric of our company culture. Through our Giving & Volunteer Program, we empower our team members to support the causes they care most about by matching their donations dollar-for-dollar. We encourage volunteering as part of our ethos, offering flexible paid time off to support our employees’ philanthropic endeavors.

Our recent partnership with Benevity has been instrumental in enhancing our team’s ability to meaningfully contribute to the world around us. By streamlining the donation process, automating matching contributions, and providing access to an extensive network of volunteer opportunities — Benevity’s platform has transformed the impact and depth of PointClickCare’s culture of giving. 

Beyond these initiatives, we’re focused on creating collective impact in our local communities by innovating through our products, addressing caregiver shortages, advancing women in STEM, and promoting health equity. Our approach goes beyond financial contributions by fostering better and more equitable communities for all.
