Introducing Xander Lilly, Manager of Professional Services at PointClickCare. With a wealth of experience in healthcare and a passion for mentorship and leadership, Xander plays a crucial role in guiding our team of Clinical Consultants on the Solution Services Team. His dedication to creating an inclusive environment and his forward-looking perspective on the industry make him a valued member of our leadership team.

Join us as we delve into Xander’s journey starting with a few rapid-fire questions!

Rapid Fire 🔥

  • Describe yourself in 3 words: Passionate, resilient and grateful.
  • What’s one thing on your bucket list?: Visiting the Galapagos Islands to swim with the Giant Turtles.
  • What was your first job?: My first job was at a family run green house and garden center around age 10.

Journey to PointClickCare

Xander has been a member of the team since 2017, but his healthcare journey began even earlier, in 2006 to be exact! Before joining PointClickCare, Xander worked as an Operations Coordinator in the Assisted Living Market for a non-profit agency focused on providing stable and affordable housing to formerly homeless individuals living with HIV.

Inspired by his positive experience as a PointClickCare customer, Xander knew he wanted to be a part of our company. He states, “I vividly remember the day during the implementation process when I came home from work and told my then-husband, ‘I don’t know when, but I want to be a part of that company.’” Fast forward a few years and he joined our Senior Living Implementation Team and has been making a significant impact ever since.

On Mentorship & Leadership

Finding inspiration from mentors, leaders, and his own commitment to professional development, Xander discovered his passion for guiding others. Transitioning from our implementation team into a leadership position allowed him to have a positive impact on both our organization and the individuals he now has the privilege of leading. Xander expresses that, “Leadership is a role that is not suited for everyone, and acknowledging this fact is the initial step towards becoming an effective leader.” Xander firmly believes that leadership is a role that requires dedication and a genuine commitment to the growth and success of those around you.

Forward Looking for the Industry

Xander is particularly excited about the investments PointClickCare is making in the senior living market. He is thrilled about the new solutions developed specifically to address the unique needs of customers who support an aging population. “Our team is dedicated to helping customers fully understand the value of the solutions they have invested in. We work closely with them to optimize their workflows and ensure they are set up for long-term success with PointClickCare as their trusted partner.” As the industry continues to evolve, with changes in technology, regulations, and customer priorities, Xander understands the importance of staying ahead and delivering value to our customers.

Driving Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Xander is an active member of the Pride Network at PointClickCare, a group dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment for all employees. He believes that creating an inclusive culture starts with visibility, and he proudly expresses his true self as a gay man living with HIV. Xander acknowledges, “PointClickCare provides me with the freedom to express these aspects of my identity without any worries or apprehension, which unfortunately is not the case for many individuals in their respective workplaces.”

With ‘Vital Voices’ being this year’s Pride Month theme, Xander feels privileged to consider himself a voice in this endeavor. “Pride Month serves as a reminder to honor those who paved the way for us, fought for our rights, and acknowledge that there is still significant work to be done to achieve equality in both the United States and Canada.”

Thank you for sharing your inspiring journey with us, Xander!
