Amanda Hane is a Registered Nurse based in Charleston, South Carolina, with a career that bridges frontline clinical care and health plan strategy. She began her nursing career in the emergency department, traveling across the country and caring for some of the healthcare system’s most complex and high-utilizing patients.
She later transitioned into the health plan space as a Clinical Trainer for a Medicaid and Medicare plan in Virginia, where she experienced firsthand the innovation driven by Medicaid Expansion. There, she saw how interdisciplinary care teams, proactive care coordination, and community-based resources could dramatically change outcomes for the same patients she once treated repeatedly in the emergency department—often without the tools or support needed to break the cycle of avoidable utilization.
Now serving as a Senior Account Executive working with national health plans, Amanda draws on her combined acute-care and payer experience to consult and collaborate across clinical, operational, and technology teams. Her work focuses on enabling more connected, data-driven care, improving quality outcomes, and ultimately helping health plans better support patients as they navigate an increasingly complex healthcare continuum.
