From Goats to Goals: Where Personal Hobbies Meet Public Service
Renée has a vibrant personal life that keeps her grounded and inspired. When she’s not leading our Marketing team to success, she fills her days to the brim trying to soak up everything she can from life. “I have a bit of a backyard hobby farm, and my kids are active in our local 4-H. We’re currently caring for an assortment of goats, lambs, and chickens. And I’ve got my hopes set on an alpaca some day!”

On the weekends, Renée starts her day with a peaceful walk, followed by a whirlwind of family activities. From soccer to climbing, wrestling to dance, and even archery and petting zoos, her Saturdays are a testament to her dedication to her family and community. Renée is also an active volunteer in her local 4-H club where she has led different projects such as teaching students to run their own internal communications function.

Why Culture Matters: Renée’s Leadership and Vision for PointClickCare’s Future
Renée joined PointClickCare two and a half years ago, bringing twenty years of healthcare experience to the role. She credits the organization’s culture as a key factor in her decision to join. From the interview process to her daily interactions, the collaborative and driven culture keeps her motivated and committed. “I have the privilege of working with exceptional people to tackle complex healthcare challenges. Marketing is an exciting blend of art and science that works to change behavior and drive meaningful change.”

As SVP of Marketing, Renée is invigorated by PointClickCare’s strategic vantage point, poised to unleash the full potential of its cumulative expertise in product marketing, performance marketing, brand marketing, and customer experience. “Our investments to understand our customers’ experience have laid a strong foundation, enabling us to propel PointClickCare’s growth with innovative marketing strategies that bring our mission to life: to help every provider deliver exceptional care.”
Building a Supportive Workspace: Renée’s Efforts for Inclusion at PointClickCare
Renée has seen firsthand how PointClickCare’s inclusive programs have made a difference. “I am one of the committee members and allies serving the Black Heritage and History Community. I’ve had the privilege of amplifying voices during Black History Month and Juneteenth over the past couple of years.”
Renée believes that a supportive and inclusive workspace is crucial. Our internal teams should represent the lives in healthcare that we are trying to impact – whether it is our customers, or the patients they serve. “Plus, inclusive teams get better results; that’s proven. My hypothesis is that they also have more fun doing it!”
Living Fully: Renée’s Philosophy
People define success in different ways, but for Renée, success means being authentic and using her time to do the things that feed her mind and soul. “I believe in using my gifts and talents to the very last drop. I really want to slide into home with as few regrets as possible, completely poured out, with holes in the knees of my pants, sweat and dirt on my brow, and well-earned scrapes and scars of a life lived fully.”

She adds that to uphold this in her everyday life, she often asks herself one important question when making life decisions. She says, “Every major decision is tested by the essential question: Will I regret this when I’m at the end of this life? Usually, it is in this context, where I realize that I’ll regret NOT doing something, and I’m able to silence the whispers of fear or uncertainty to ‘just do it.’ “
