My Time at PointClickCare

“Some experiences stay with you forever, and my time at PointClickCare (PCC) is one of them”

I still remember walking into the PCC office on my first day, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. I had imagined a quiet start, maybe a quick “hello,” and then settling into my desk. Instead, I was greeted by colleagues who came in to invite me to lunch. That moment changed everything. It wasn’t just a meal—it was laughter, warm conversations, and the feeling that I was already part of something bigger. I walked out of that lunch thinking—this is going to be special.

Soon after, my manager reached out with a heartfelt message saying, “Welcome to Life Sciences at PCC,” and during onboarding, that sense of belonging grew even stronger. It wasn’t just about learning systems or processes—it was about feeling supported from the very beginning. I realized I was stepping into a team that truly cared, not only about the work but about the people behind it.

My journey started with small steps. I began with literature reviews, trying to absorb as much as I could. Then came posters, and later manuscripts. Each stage felt like climbing a new hill, but I never felt alone. My manager and teammates were always there with guidance and encouragement. Every time someone said, “You’re doing great,” it gave me the confidence to push further. Eventually, I found myself writing full study drafts—something I never imagined on day one. Early in that journey, a recognition landed in my inbox. I was still finding my footing, and that message told me I was already contributing—it was the spark that made me push further and give my best.

One of my favorite memories was attending our Life Sciences team meetings. I had been working with many colleagues virtually and finally meeting them face-to-face was incredible. The energy in the room, the smiles, the genuine excitement to connect, it felt like joining a family. I still remember the chief strategy officer going out of their way to welcome me again when I arrived late on the second day. It might sound like a small thing, but for me, it was huge. That simple gesture filled me with joy and made me feel truly seen and valued. During those meetings, I had conversations with our VP & GM of Life Sciences, and VP of Life Sciences Operations, that meant so much to me. They didn’t just ask about projects, but asked about my experience, my learning, and how I was settling in. Those moments made me feel that my presence mattered and that I was valued as part of the team.

Life at PCC, especially within Life Sciences, is unique. It’s a place where learning turns into growth, where support builds confidence, and where every interaction reminds you that you’re part of something meaningful. I’m grateful for every moment and every person who made this experience unforgettable, including my manager, our VP & GM of Life Sciences and VP of Life Sciences operations, whose warmth and leadership made my journey truly special.
