People of PointClickCare: Rose Scott-Powell

Meet Rose Scott-Powell, Go-To-Market (GTM) Program Manager, lakeside enthusiast, and community champion. Rose’s passion for healthcare and dedication to making a difference shine through in everything she does. Let’s dive into her inspiring story!

Rapid Fire

  • Describe yourself in 3 words: Reliable. Easygoing. Joyful.
  • What is your favorite type of weather? Nothing is better than fall weather in North Carolina! Cool morning air, blue skies, and the sound of leaves falling.
  • Who is your hero? My mom. But I also want to acknowledge the heroes we engage with every day, the ordinary people like our PointClickCare (PCC) customers who show extraordinary kindness, courage, or dedication.
  • What do you believe is worth spending more money on? Fresh local vegetables.
  • If you could be transformed into one animal, which one would you choose? Panda bear.

A Glimpse into Rose’s Life and Values

Rose and her family have built a beautiful life centered around lake living in North Carolina. When she’s not working, you’ll find her kayaking, boating, fishing, or simply relaxing on the dock, soaking in the peaceful surroundings.

Her ideal Saturday? It starts early. “Even though it’s Saturday, I like to get up early and enjoy my coffee in the quiet morning and read a good book,” Rose shares. As a self-described introvert, that quiet morning time isn’t optional—it’s essential. “I need some quiet time to prepare for the day,” she says with a knowing smile.

The day might unfold with Saturday brunch with friends, a hike through North Carolina’s stunning trails, and a backyard cookout to wrap it all up. For Rose, it’s the perfect mix of solitude and togetherness, reflection and celebration.

Rose’s Journey to PointClickCare

Rose’s path into healthcare technology is anything but typical—and that’s exactly what makes it so valuable! She graduated as an RN and worked in cardiology critical care as a Clinical Manager, gaining firsthand experience with the challenges providers face every day.

Then came a pivotal moment. “I was offered an opportunity to work with a technology company focused on cardiology which was a new challenge,” she explains. That leap changed everything. “Along the way, I fell in love with healthcare software sales, helping clients provide the best care. After all these years, I cannot imagine not being part of healthcare!”

Rose joined PointClickCare in 2014 as a New Logo Account Executive, bringing that rare combination of clinical expertise and business acumen. Now, as a Program Manager, Rose supports Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF) through every phase of go-to-market launches—from initial planning to flawless execution.

“I partner with our Sales and Enablement teams to co-create scalable SNF enablement programs,” she explains. But the work doesn’t stop at launch. Rose monitors program effectiveness and drives continuous improvements, always asking: How can we do this better for our customers?

What Makes PCC Different

When Rose talks to prospective team members about the culture at PointClickCare, she comes back to one unwavering truth: Our mission endures.

“Our mission is to help every provider deliver exceptional care,” she says. “In my 11 years, the company has grown and evolved. But one thing remains constant: Everyone at PCC works every day to innovate, challenge themselves, and support each other as we help our customers help their patients.”

Rose says it’s this consistency through change that’s kept her engaged with PCC for over a decade.

Making Waves Beyond Work

Rose’s commitment to community extends far beyond PointClickCare. She’s an active member of 100 Women Who Give a Hoot, a collective that raises funds quarterly to support local charities. “It is truly amazing to see how many organizations are out there doing good,” she reflects, recognizing the powerful ripple effects when people come together for positive change.

At PointClickCare, Rose serves on the Women’s Network Committee, where she’s helping build the kind of inclusive environment where everyone can thrive. For her, this isn’t just committee work, it’s essential.

“I believe a supportive and inclusive workplace is critical to success,” Rose emphasizes. “An inclusive culture fosters a sense of belonging, which directly translates to higher employee engagement, increased productivity, and better innovation.”

She’s not talking about buzzwords or checkbox exercises. Rose understands that inclusion is the foundation that allows every team member to bring their whole self to work and contribute their unique perspectives. In an organization dedicated to improving care for vulnerable populations, this diversity of thought and experience becomes even more critical.
