Helping Physicians and Practitioners Go Mobile at AMDA

The demand for physician and practitioner time is continuing to increase, driving the need for solutions that enable them to increase efficiency and make faster, better decisions that ultimately improve health outcomes. At the same time, mobile technology is continuing to proliferate the healthcare industry – whether it’s personal devices or those supplied by a provider.

In fact, several physicians and practitioners are already using mobile devices in their daily practice, as a survey conducted by Merck Manuals revealed that 66% of doctors use a mobile device to access medical information in a professional setting more than 10 times a day. Furthermore, HIMSS discovered that 83% of care providers strongly feel their organization should deploy mobile devices. The availability of medical information on mobile devices is quickly transitioning from a nice-to-have to a need-to-have, especially in senior care.

By outfitting physicians and practitioners with the right tools and technology to administer and document the care provided, managing care across the senior care continuum becomes more effective and efficient. Having access to the right information, at the right time, also contributes to improved quality of care, as physicians and practitioners are better able to manage the increasing number of complex chronic conditions.

But in order to access the right information, physicians and practitioners need the right tools. PointClickCare has developed a series of mobile solutions that provide physicians, practitioners and care professionals with quick, easy, and secure access to resident files. On March 16, 2017, members of the PointClickCare team will be attending the AMDA Annual Conference in Phoenix, AZ to provide physicians, practitioners and care professionals with the opportunity to see our mobile solutions first-hand and try them out.

Some of the mobile solutions we’ll be highlighting includes Secure Conversations, which facilities mobile communication without compromising the protection of personal health information or compliance of regulations, Practitioner Engagement, an innovative mobile app that enables physicians and practitioners to access and manage patient information from anywhere, and Skin and Wound, the app that helps improve skin and wound care outcomes through real-time access to automated clinical data and images.

So come and visit us at Booth 221/223 at the AMDA Annual Conference to see our mobile solutions in person and meet our team who is happy to answer any questions you might have.
