Introducing, Sandeep Dhillon, internal communications expert, employee experience advocate, and mom of 3! Let’s get to know her with a quick rapid-fire.

  • Describe yourself in 3 words: Pragmatic, organized, and loyal
  • What is your favourite cake flavour? Chocolate
  • If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be? Vancouver. I love the climate, lifestyle, and of course the cuisine that comes with coastal city life!
  • Favorite TV show? I don’t watch a lot of TV, but I do enjoy Coronation Street (I’m from the UK so British soaps have a special place in my heart).
  • What is your favourite sport? Swimming

Getting to know Sandeep

Sandeep is a trained internal communications professional and a key contributor to the organization’s overall employee experience. Keeping everyone informed on the inner workings of the organization is her passion and she says values the opportunity to “contribute to and help shape the PointClickCare employee experience via communications whether it’s through emails, newsletters, or townhalls.”

In her personal time, Sandeep loves to travel and says it’s because she “loves the experience of exploring and learning about new places, cultures, and ways of life.” She also says she is an “outdoorsy” individual, and loves staying active with walking, biking, or hiking, but understandably, says this does not apply to the Canadian Winter!

A Career in Communications

Sandeep started her career at an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider, which ignited her passion for employee communications, workplace wellness, and employee experience. She mentioned that being able to connect the dots behind the scenes and create a cohesive story for employees is what she loves about communications. “It’s a privilege to be able to tell stories, using words and other media, while supporting the goals of the business.”

She also mentioned that the field of employee experience and internal communications is still relatively new and she was eager to find an organization that would make it a priority. “I was thrilled at the prospect of joining an organization that understood and valued the positive impact an internal communications strategy could have on the business and culture.”

Journey to PointClickCare

Like many others, Sandeep was connected to PointClickCare employees and alumni before ever applying for her current position. She credits her interest in the organization to her network and all the awesome things they had to say about the culture, leaders, and of course the mission of the organization itself.  

After doing her research, Sandeep said making the decision to join PointClickCare was easy because of the mission to make a difference for vulnerable populations. “I knew PointClickCare was right for me because it’s the kind of place that values a progressive culture where employees are encouraged to lead with head and heart.”

Since joining, Sandeep has witnessed firsthand the reasons why so many people spoke so highly of the organization. She says she “truly appreciate all the support, collaboration, and connection with colleagues and leaders at various levels and areas of the business. It’s a true reflection of the PointClickCare culture!”
