Rapid Fire
- Describe yourself in 3 words: Inclusive. Strategic. Grounded.
- Where did you grow up? I grew up in Reno, Nevada, the Biggest Little City in The World.
- Have you ever traveled abroad? I love learning about new cultures and perspectives. I visited Tahiti, French Polynesia with my husband and best friend this spring and can’t wait to plan my next venture abroad.
- What never fails to make you laugh? Cat videos and The Golden Girls. When I’m feeling off, they’re my go-to reset.
- What is your favorite color? Do I have to pick just one? If pressed, I’ll say dark teal – it’s the perfect blend of my two favorites: blue and green.
A Passion for Healthcare
From his early days in healthcare to his current role at PointClickCare, Mike says he has been drawn to environments where he can make a real difference by tackling complex healthcare issues. For Mike, working in healthcare is more than a job; it’s a calling to enhance the experiences of healthcare professionals in supporting improved outcomes of those in need, touching lives in a meaningful way. Mike has spent his entire career in healthcare and says he has been fortunate to consistently find a place in organizations filled with some of the best and brightest people who genuinely care about the work, the mission, customers and their patients, and each other.
Mike’s Journey to PointClickCare
For Mike, PointClickCare’s innovative approach and its mission to drive meaningful change resonated deeply with him. As Senior Director of Product Marketing, he helps shape how we bring our solutions to market throughout the customer journey, translating PointClickCare’s innovations that solve complex healthcare challenges into compelling stories that resonate with our provider and convener customers.
Mike crafts the stories of our innovations, ensuring they connect with our customers. He says his team collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to align strategy, messaging, and execution. “At the core, it’s about grounded insight — listening to our customers, understanding their challenges, and turning that into action that delivers real value. Knowing that our work helps improve care experiences and outcomes is incredibly rewarding.”
Being an Inclusive Partner
As a member of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, Mike says he knows firsthand how powerful it is to feel safe, supported, and celebrated at work. He has worked with several organizations to advance workplace inclusion, shaping policies and building programs that foster a sense of belonging. At PointClickCare, he is a member of the Culture & Values Council and the Pride Network Allyship & Inclusion Community. “For me, inclusion is more than a value — it’s a responsibility. I’m proud to be part of a company that shares that belief and excited to help shape what inclusion looks like as we continue to grow.”
Mike is currently partnering with leadership at PointClickCare to ensure the organization is meeting industry best practices in supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ team members through inclusive policies, benefits, and support systems. “When people feel respected and valued, they bring new perspectives to the table — fueling innovation and helping us better reflect the diverse customers and patients we serve.”
Mike says PointClickCare’s culture and programming — from allyship initiatives to mentorship programs to visible leadership support — have made a meaningful impact on him and many other colleagues. He adds that “inclusion isn’t just about programs and policies; it’s about creating an environment and culture where people can show up fully, contribute authentically, and feel empowered to lead and grow.”
