Dave and Mike Wessinger on stage at CONNECT at SUMMIT 2022 at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada

Everything We Debuted at CONNECTatSUMMIT ‘22

In November, we hosted our 10th annual user conference, CONNECTatSUMMIT, in Las Vegas! This year’s SUMMIT marked the first time in two years that we were able to gather our community in person, making these four days an extra special event. We reflected on the many ways the market has evolved, celebrated accomplishments despite hardships, and brainstormed how we can continue to evolve and innovate for the future of healthcare.

More than 1,500 industry experts and 89 sponsors representing the full continuum of care attended to get a first look at the latest technology innovations from PointClickCare and our technology partners. SUMMIT continues to grow every year, and this November’s we had a record attendance for main stage and breakout sessions. Attendees heard from experts on topics including, the importance of technology adoption, why equitable funding is an industry imperative, how connected care provides care teams with valuable insights, and how providers can weather the Medicare Advantage movement, all of which demonstrate that the larger LTPAC industry is investing in technology as the path forward.

To kick off CONNECTatSUMMIT, Dave Wessinger, our co-Founder and CEO, and Mike Wessinger, co-founder, and executive chair of our Board of Directors, took to the stage to discuss the evolution of PointClickCare in the last few years, including  how we welcomed 1,000 new team members to our recently expanded executive bench. The two also highlighted PointClickCare’s recent acquisitions of Collective Medical and Audacious Inquiry, both of which broaden our networks and enhance innovative solutions to improve care transitions. As Dave Wessinger said in the keynote, “By connecting the richest post-acute dataset with the most expansive, full-continuum network, care teams can proactively intervene at the right time, at the right place, and with the right information for their patients.”

And if you’re itching to hear more, you can listen to the highlights from Dave and Mike’s keynote here.

With the most comprehensive care collaboration network in North America and the deepest footprint in the senior care space, our product suite continues to evolve and scale to meet the demands and expectations of our customers’ care delivery needs and the widening populations it serves. On Day Two of CONNECTatSUMMIT, our own Maggie O’Keefe, Brian Buys, and B.J. Boyle hit the stage to give attendees a front row seat to PointClickCare’s latest innovations, built to optimize care collaboration, make standardized care more effective, and enable better care for those who need it most. Here’s a recap of the tools and product spotlights covered:

  1. A new Predictive Return to Hospital (pRTH) — A report (within Performance Insights) that empowers care teams and SNF organizations with point-of-care access to actionable, real-time insights around patients’ return-to-hospital risk. The technology uses a machine-learning model that consults data from clinical records in PointClickCare to improve quality, care, and financial outcomes.
  2. Virtual Health — A joint solution with our partner, Sound Physicians, that delivers on the promise and full potential of virtual health in the post-acute setting, designed to meet the mission-critical needs of post-acute providers to improve clinical care.
  3. Nursing Advantage — A clinical content solution that allows LTPAC providers to standardize care delivery with evidence-based clinical content and alerting.
  4. Infection, Prevention and Control — Instant access to infection information and insights in one place, empowering care teams to respond to infection outbreaks and quickly make informed decisions to prevent the spread of infections.
  5. Practitioner Engagement & Workspace — A solution to simplify EHRs for practitioners to ensure more consistent levels of care and predictable outcomes including new-and-improved practitioner tools that empower teams to accelerate care team coordination, as well as collaborate and openly communicate through quick, on-the-go access to resident data.
  6. PointClickCare Connect — A tool that helps providers tap into networks to improve resident transitions of care and reduce re-admissions. By reviewing critical data and allowing for evaluation of referrals with speed and confidence, the solution provides seamless reconciliation of clinical data that can save hours of administrative work. It also pushes real-time alerts when discharged residents arrive at an Emergency Department allowing for intervention.

We had a blast sharing all that we’ve been working on! But don’t just take our word for it. Here are some memorable moments from our partners and customers:

Thank you to all our wonderful attendees, speakers, and sponsors who are building the future of healthcare with us. As Dave Wessinger shared at the end of his opening keynote, “We share the same mission as our customers — leaving healthcare better than we found it — and we believe true collaboration is the way to get there.”

We’re already buzzing for our next CONNECTatSUMMIT in the spring of 2024. Check back here for more 2022 recaps and information on how to attend our next event.
