Karen Joswick
Karen Marie Joswick, MHA, CHCIO, FHIMSS, CPHIMS, is a healthcare executive and national thought leader with over 20 years of experience in health system strategy and operations. As President/CEO of Benevolence Health, she specializes in alternative payment models, clinical integration, and accelerated ROI across healthcare portfolios.
Previously, as enterprise VP and Chief Value Officer at Nemours Children's Health, she managed value-based programs for 200,000+ children with $280M in medical and pharmacy expenses under risk-bearing and capitated arrangements. She mobilized the growth of the statewide clinically integrated network at the University of Maryland Medical System (UMQCN). She led multiple alternative payment programs (MDPCP, SIHIS, EQIP) under Maryland's innovative TCOC all-payer model.
Karen served on the Board of Directors for NAACOs, holds academic appointments (Jefferson University), and is frequently sought as a subject matter expert on value-based transformation, payment innovation, and clinical program optimization.
